MARQUISE JACKSON SAYS HIS ONLY CONTACT WITH HIS DAD IS VIA INSTAGRAM

This is sad. Marquise Jackson, the oldest son of rapper 50 Cent, recently revealed that he only speaks with his father via Instagram these days.

“I had a relationship with him growing up but I can’t pinpoint when things started going sour but it was something over time where certain event (sic) occurred and it was an unhealthy bond,” Marquise shared. “I haven’t spoken to him the most contact we usually have is through Instagram. He didn’t make it to my graduation for what reason you would have to interview him and ask him that.”

Many date Marquise’s troubles with his father back to 2008 when the young adult’s mother, Shaniqua Tompkins, had a major falling out with Fiddy when their son was only 10-years-old. Things seemingly got worse between Marquise and 50 Cent and reached an all-time high when the youngster was 16-years-old. The teen had a very public social media spat with his father in which the outcome was Fiddy breaking ties with his son.

50 Cent was a no-show to his son’s high school graduation in May 2014. “Yea I broke down,” Marquise wrote to his father via Facebook. “I was really excited to see my pops at my graduation today, but he never showed up smh. My sister and mama is always there for me, just know that you wasn’t. I did it without you.” Fiddy’s reason for not coming to his son’s graduation was that he didn’t receive an invitation.

So where does Marquise stand in relation to his dad? No one truly seems to know. Marquise is 50 Cent’s oldest child. The rapper also has a son named Sire who recently graduated from preschool.
