This is crazy. Jose Reyes and his ex-girlfriend, Christina Sanchez, were set to appear in court on Tuesday to have their child support case heard in Nassau County Family Court. Sanchez’s lawyer, Steven Gildin, was excited to present his client’s side before the judge. It’s too bad that neither Sanchez nor Reyes made the appearance.
Jose was allegedly unaware that he was supposed to attend the hearing per the star athlete lawyer’s explanation for his client’s absence. As for Christina, well, she was in the process of being booked and charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon.
The former mistress, Jose is a married man with three children, was apparently en route to the court hearing when she was confronted by two women who called her out on bad driving in a Starbucks parking lot. One of the ladies advised Christina to “pay attention” after seeing her nearly hit two parked cars. That’s when things got ugly.
According to the supposed victims, Christina said, “I am in a dress and heels and can still f–k you up!” Astonished at her response, the women asked Christina if she was really willing to fight them. Christina’s response? “You don’t know who you’re f–king with. I have so much power.”
Sanchez may not have possessed the power that she thought since the women called the police after she brandished a pair of brass knuckles. Her arrest and Jose’s failure to appear for other reasons led to the judge postponing the hearing until December 13, 2017.
Jose Reyes and Christina Sanchez’s court was concerning their 8-year-old daughter, Liyah. Christina said that Jose dumped her when his wife, Katherine Ramirez, found out that he had a mistress with whom he fathered a child. Christina had plans to ask the courts for $40,000 per month in child support. We’ll just have to wait and see how things unfold, now.
