New York Fashion Week is a must for everyone ranging from the who’s-who of music, entertainment, and of course fashion. Many designers from beginners to seasoned vets, put it all on the line, debuting their newest fashions for the upcoming season for the world to see. One of the newest fashion phenoms is eleven-year-old Kheris Rogers who went from being bullied because of her dark skin to making history.

“I just made history as #NYFW youngest fashion designer EVER!” the preteen commented on a post via her Twitter account. “I am only 11 years old and made it while encouraging people to love their skin.”
Rogers debuted her line at the Museum of the City of New York in East Harlem. Flexin in my Complexion’ was created to “encourage others to be confident in their skin.”
