BABY JUNIE BRINGS HER CUTENESS TO THE MTV AWARDS

Teyana Taylor may have won an award for her performance in Kanye West’s ‘Fade’ music video, but all eyes were on baby Junie at the 2017 MTV VMAs. The little one took the spotlight by storm at the Forum in Inglewood.

Several photographers got shots of Junie in her cutest poses. One segment caught the little one following her mom’s instructions to the letter by holding a finger over her lips in a quieting gesture. Iman Shumpert was also present to give his wife support while looking adoringly upon his daughter. “This family is so bomb,” a fan wrote online.

Teyana’s followers also recognized the recording artist’s efforts to pay tribute to Janet Jackson by rocking the haircut and style that the legendary Pop store wore during the mid-90s. “I love her style,” one fan shared. “Ok, thought I recognized this look,” another admirer wrote online. “Homage the (sic) Ms. Jackson!”

Teyana expressed anxiety before this year’s MTV VMAs kicked off. “I feel a little nervous,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “Every accomplishment always feels new,” Taylor explained. “Being recognized for your hard work is always a new feeling.”

Another “new” feeling was the public hype about Teyana’s incredibly fit body after the music video for ‘Fade’ made its debut. “After the video came out, I decided to put out a dance fitness workout called Fade to Fitness,” Teyana told media. “We have different dance workouts just to make it easy because I know it’s tough,” she added.

“Even with me. Even though my body is the way it is, or how I look in front of people, I walk in the gym and I’m very intimidated. That’s why I don’t workout at the gym. I really get my body from dancing, and I toured [while] pregnant until I was like five months. So dancing played a big part in just me, period. So I wanted to find a balance to do fitness and dance at the same time.”

Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert have one child together. Little Iman “Junie Bug” Tayla celebrates her second birthday in December.
