Teyana Taylor and her daughter, Iman Tayla, are at the center of Kids Foot Locker’s latest campaign. The brand has created a miniseries called Generations that focuses on six families and their appreciation of sneaker culture. Teyana and Iman’s segment is the first in the series, which is only fitting since Teyana is the ambassador for Reebok.
“Some people think it’s impossible. You couldn’t be a mom, you couldn’t be a wife, and still do your thing as an artist,” Teyana reveals in the Generations clip. An image of the celebrity mom carrying her daughter shows before cutting over to Teyana’s mentoring session in which she gives a group of girls advice. “Never give them a reason to label you or make you feel like you can’t do it. Be fearless,” the recording artist admonishes.
“We know that the back-to-school period is one of the most critical times of the year for parents and kids to share in that bond,” Chris Santaella, Vice President and GM at Kids Foot Locker, says of the company’s motivation behind its latest campaign. “For this reason, we make sure our brand offers the hottest sneakers, apparel, and accessories to support that,” he added.
