Amar’e Stoudemire is the father of five children, according to recent court documents that reveal the star athlete making temporary child support payments to a Miami-based woman named Quynn Lovett for a little girl that she claims belongs to Stoudemire.
Amar’e, who has been married to Alexis Welch-Stoudemire for five years, is reportedly paying Lovett $4,333 in child support, but the Massachusetts-born mother apparently wants more. Daily Mail reports,
“Lovett claims in her complaint Stoudemire has not been involved with the child, has not visited and hasn’t paid any of her maternity bills, which she estimated to be around $11,000.”
Stoudemire and his legal team have called the lawsuit “frivolous” and point out the fact that a child support agreement has been in place since November 1, 2016. Amar’e has also reportedly paid Lovett’s legal bills, which total $22,500.
The Miami-based mother has pursued her alleged child’s father before in court with legal documents filed with the Massachusetts justice system last November. Such case was dismissed this past March.
Amar’e and Alexis Stoudemire welcomed their youngest child, a son, in 2013. “We are proud to announce we added a healthy baby boy to the Stoudemire team,” Amar’e shared shortly after his little one’s arrival. “Blessed,” he hashtagged.
