ACTOR/MODEL GABRIEL L. SILVA FEATURES ANTI-BULLYING CLOTHING LINE FOR BACK-TO-SCHOOL

Bullying has become an epidemic not only in the United States but world-wide. According to statistics 1 out of 4 kids is bullied every month in our country. 1 out of 10 children drop out of school due to bullying. 160,000 kids miss school each day for fear of being bullied. And sadly, 4,400 deaths occur each year as a result of bullying.

Gabriel L. Silva, known for his role as Tomas Coughlin in the Ben Affleck mafia-thriller, Live By Night, has made it his mission to give kids that are victims of bullying a voice. A victim of bullying himself, the young rising star found his voice through acting and modeling. Determined to give back, Silva founded Take Action Apparel & Gear, a clothing line for kids, to help give self-expression a fashionable unique outlet, letting kids know that it is okay for them to be exactly who the are.

“Take Action Apparel & Gear was something that my mother and I came up with to help spread the anti-bullying movement in a fun and unique way. We gathered friends and family, came up with a few designs, and it took off from there. Giving kids that have been bullied a voice is important but making sure that they know that they are not alone is priceless.”
