In today’s world, having open and honest discussions about race and diversity are just as important as ever. And of course, actress, model, and activist Yara Shahidi is at the forefront of helping bring awareness to the issue.
Helping to spread the word and encourage “communities to unite,” Shahidi has teamed up Gap jeans and other familiar faces to hopefully help others to bridge the gap that divides us all.
Gap, since 1969, has prided themselves on transcending differences through fashion. As a result of a collaboration between @edward_enninful, appointed editor-in-chief of @britishvogue, and a host of additional recognizable celebrity faces, the clothing giant has created a new video campaign that is #bridgingthegap, celebrating the diversity that makes America unique.

Since 1969, we’ve been about transcending differences — it’s in our jeans. We’re proud to partner with @edward_enninful, appointed @britishvogue editor-in-chief to create this video. It celebrates optimistic American style, the diversity that makes each of us unique, and how Gap white tees (plus one beautiful song) can bring us all together. That’s #BridgingTheGap.
