Jennifer Hudson and her son, David Otunga Jr., stopped by the 2017 NBC Universal Upfront at Radio City Music Hall in New York City earlier this week. Jennifer and young David were all smiles while posing on the red carpet. He rocked casual wear while she wore a cute minidress that was semi-formal in design.
Jennifer made quite the impact as a judge on the U.K. version of The Voice. NBC was so impressed by the singer’s leadership abilities that it invited Hudson to join Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Miley Cyrus in coaching contestants on the U.S. version of the show.
Those who watched every episode of the U.K. version of The Voice remember the moment when one of Jennifer’s students, Mo Adeniran, delivered a show-stopping performance that led to him winning the show. Another student of Jennifer’s named Jamie Miller also made it to the semi-finals and expressed nothing short of gratitude for the opportunity to be on the show.
“I remember my mom and dad giving me a microphone when I was very young and I haven’t stopped singing since,” Miller said during an interview before his performance during the finals segment. “I left school and went to work in a call center, but all I wanted to do was make music,” he added. “That’s why I feel so lucky to be where I am now.”
Who will Jennifer mentor to success in the States? We’ll just have to wait and see the action when the upcoming season of The Voice makes its debut on NBC this fall. Jennifer Hudson and fiance David Otunga Sr. have one child together. Little David celebrates his eighth birthday in August.
