Actress, model, activist are three titles that immediately identify eighteen-year-old starlet, Amandla Stenberg. However, the Tinseltown darling has added another notch to her resume-singer.
Covering Mac DeMarco’s “Let My Baby Stay,” Stenberg proves that her talent is truly transcendent, as she belts out a sultry R&B rearrangement of the song. The track, which will appear on the soundtrack for her upcoming teen romance movie Everything, Everything, due out in theaters May 19th, first appeared on DeMarco’s 2014 album Salad Days.
“I sneaky snuck one of my favorite songs, Let My Baby Stay by @macdemarco into a scene in Everything, Everything coming out next week,” Stenberg commented on Instagram. “Thank you to stand up man & pepperoni playboy Mac for blessing our movie with this song.”
