Safe Kids Worldwide is a nonprofit organization that works to protect children from their number one killer in the US-preventable injuries from drownings, fires, poisonings, car crashes and more. Throughout the world, an estimated one million children die of an injury each year. Every one of these tragedies is almost preventable.
Founded in 1988, by Dr. Marty Eichelberger of the Children’s National Health System, with the support of Johnson & Johnson, Safe Kids has helped reduce the U.S. childhood death rate, as a result of preventable injuries, by sixty percent. Working together with sponsors such FedEx, Nationwide, Chevrolet, Kidde, Tide, and Johnson & Johnson, Safe Kids Worldwide will protect kids at every age and stage, making sure that they are safe and secure.
