Cree Summer and the family took on Lake Tahoe for a time of reuniting with loved ones earlier this week. The celebrity mom shared pictures and video footage from the trip that included Brave and Hero having fun in the snow.
One video clip showed Hero exploring winter weather on the family’s vacation home deck. “Mommy, it’s snowy time,” Hero said in the video. Cree responded to her daughter by agreeing that playing in the snow was in order. “God bless the freaks,” the celebrity mom captioned. “Family reunion,” Summer added.
Although Cree and the girls were having loads of fun during the family’s reunion in Lake Tahoe, they didn’t deter from their message of women’s empowerment. In fact, Hero proudly wore a hat that had the word, “Feminist” plastered across it. “Yes, baby girl,” one fan wrote. “Love Mama and the Savages,” another follower captioned.
Cree and her girls are members of Pirate Sistahs United. “Pirate women were considered especially dangerous, and accepted as leaders at a time when women on land had been robbed of their rights and dignity,” the site’s welcome page reads.
“We pirates set sail for new shores into a world of adventures. Breaking out of structured obedience, preset orders and moral unities. We plunge into unpredictability, danger, excitement, dance, song and everything that strong, free, cheerful action implies.”
Hero and Brave are Cree Summer’s kids with her husband, Angelo Pullen. Brave celebrated her sixth birthday last month. Hero turned 4-years-old in January.
