Cree Summer is enjoying family time. The actress recently shared clips and photos of her happy family with Instagram fans.
One candid was of Cree and the girls making silly faces right before heading to a school dance. Brave looked square into the camera’s lens as Hero looked elsewhere while giving off cute impressions. “Those faces,” one fan exclaimed. “Cute.” The youngsters were also videotaped while hanging with mom and dad. “God bless the freaks,” Cree hashtagged.
Summer has been working in show business for several decades. Many remember the star from her time on A Different World, where she portrayed the exuberant Winifred “Freddie” Brooks on the show.
“I came into the industry as a young girl, so it was fun to have my own money for a bike,” Cree said during an interview with Talk Nerdy With Us last year. “I remember being at a meeting with Tress MacNeille and she did like fifteen voices, and I had a conscious thought of ‘I want to be good at this.'”
Summer certainly has been “good” at her craft as she has successfully gone from onscreen actress to voiceover character. “The good news is I didn’t have to make a transition,” Summer revealed. “My father (who recently passed) was a big voice actor and actor in Canada, so I really got my start through nepotism. I think because I became known for a different world, people didn’t know that I had been doing voice overs since I was a child.”
Cree Summer and her husband, Angelo Pullen, are the proud parents of two children.
