Great news! Power actress Naturi Naughton is expecting a child. The star shares her pregnancy experience exclusively with PEOPLE.
“It’s been a little surreal, but I feel really good, healthy and strong,” Naturi reveals. “It’s such a blessing,” she adds.
Naturi Naughton and her longtime boyfriend, Ben, were not expecting to get pregnant but are nevertheless thrilled about the addition to the family.
“I feel like being pregnant and entering this new stage has made me stronger and more excited about life in general,” Naturi says. “Everything seems so much more purposeful.”
Naturi is best known for her role in the Starz hit series, Power. The actress does a great job of bringing her character, Tasha St. Patrick, to life. Naughton is certainly receiving lots of love from her co-stars.
“They’ve been really good at keeping it on the low, but they’re also super excited,” the star explains. “Omari [Hardwick], who plays my husband, we have kids on the show and he’s like, ‘Now you get to be experiencing motherhood in real life!’ Everyone’s been really supportive.”
Naturi Naughton and her boyfriend are expecting their little one to arrive in July. The newborn will be their first child together.
