What better way to celebrate your thirteenth birthday than by honoring your mom who gave you life? Alijah Haggins gave her mom, Tichina Arnold, and other loved ones major shout outs on her special day.
“Today is the day I was brought into this beautiful world,” the teen said on Thursday. “I thank all my friends for being there for me and my family. Yami I love you sooo much I can’t explain it in words. You have taken care of me and nurtured me every time mom is gone for work or anything.”
Alijah also gave loads of praise to her mother. “Mommy you are the beautiful woman who brought me here,” the teen wrote. “You have made the money to put food on the table and keep a roof over my head but the best thing is that you were there for me no matter what happened.”
Tichina Arnold gave birth to her daughter on March 16, 2004. The celebrity mom spoke about her experience with motherhood during an interview with EBONY last year.
“Black women are selfless,” Tichina said. “Many women think of their children before they think about themselves,” she added. “My personal pledge, since I became a mother 12 years ago, is that I won’t be in any project my daughter can’t watch. I’m trying to prepare her for the world.”
Tichina is doing quite the remarkable job of preparing Alijah as many fans gave the teen hearts on Instagram for her moving tribute on Thursday. “You are a beautiful young lady,” one fan wrote. “Your mom did a good job.”
