David Otunga is on the path of show business but his mom, Jennifer Hudson, isn’t limiting his options to entertainment. The celebrity mom talks about her son and his lively personality that has many deeming him as a performer in the making.
“He’s such a little performer, he sings, he dances,” Jennifer shares. The singer also tells the press that she’s giving David liberality to do whatever he chooses in life. “We’re curious to see [what he does] because he’s exposed to so much,” Hudson reveals. “I feel like that I’m taking the position, as my mother did with us, of, ‘Whatever makes you happy, if you want to sing, sing, and if you want to dance, dance.'”
David certainly has a great model to follow in his mom. Jennifer has accomplished much since her time as an American Idol contestant. “It kind of shocks me at time, but you’ve got to always have a little bit more in store than what you can think of,” the singer says.
“I always dreamt of singing, and being at the Grammys. And then I turn around and the first time I’m at the Academy Awards I’m nominated and I win an Oscar. Like, ‘Who, me?’ So it’s still surreal to this day when people list all the accolades. I’m like, ‘Who are they talking about? I mean, really?!'”
David is Jennifer Hudson and fiance David Otunga Sr.’s only child. He celebrates his eighth birthday in August.
