Russell Westbrook and his wife, Nina, are expecting a child! The NBA star announced his family’s expansion on Wednesday.
Russell let the picture speak for itself as it was one of him kissing Nina’s protruding stomach. “5/2017,” Russell captioned. “Congrats,” one fan wrote. “If it is a boy I feel bad for the future players of the NBA.”
Westbrook definitely has a lively personality that comes out on the court and behind the scenes. Russell was every bit exuberant about All-Star Weekend and said so during an interview last month.
“Ah man, I’m excited,” he told reporters. “All-Star Weekend is a great experience for me and my family. Opportunity to get come out and enjoy a moment like this, it’s something you don’t take for granted. I’m blessed to be able to be here and happy to be a part of the game.”
Although confident in his abilities as an athlete, Russell did not claim the title as the greatest All-Star athlete in history. “I doubt it,” he said before the game. “I don’t know, but I’m just happy to be on the team and be able to be picked. I think it’s always a blessing to be picked and opportunity to be on the All-Star team.”
