Just fab! Reginae Carter made quite the statement at New York Fashion Week.
The daughter of Toya Wright and Lil Wayne rocked a maroon-colored two-piece suit with a denim button-down top. The young star was all for celebrating fashion and style as she struck several poses while wearing the jacket on her shoulders.
Reginae is an entrepreneur in her own right. At just 18-years-old, the young star has published a book in collaboration with good friend Bria Williams and launched a clothing line called ‘Shut Up.’
“Lil Wayne ‘The Boss’ has high expectations for my career, so he’s on me,” Reginae said of her father’s unfailing support in 2014. “He’s like, ‘Okay, you have to do this.’ He teaches me what to do and how because he knows about it already. Lil Wayne ‘The Dad’—he’s fun; he’s like my best friend. At home, he’s Dad unless a business call comes in!”
Reginae also takes after her mom who has persevered through life’s most challenging moments to find success as a businesswoman. Toya showed no signs of slowing down last year despite her brothers being killed and husband filing for divorce.
“I stay in constant prayer,” Toya shared with Cosmopolitan in December. “As [a] black female entrepreneur, I have to keep working hard and keep pushing. Plus, work keeps my mind off of anything I may have going on in my personal life. I know that God is always watching over my family and me.”
Reginae is Toya Wright and Lil Wayne’s only child together. She celebrated her milestone eighteenth birthday last November.
