A day ago, Cleveland Cavaliers star 31-year-old, J.R. Smith, aka “Teamswish”, shared a touching photo on Instagram with fans, captioning it “Today is one of the greatest days of my life. Today I get to hold my youngest for the first time! GOD is GREAT!”

Dakota, born five months early, weighed only one pound when she made her entrance into the world. Now, a month older, Smith and his wife, Jewel Harris are blessed to be able to hold their tiny bundle of joy. “I am so grateful to have seen this day,” writes Harris in her blog. “for over two hours her and I soaked in each other’s presence. The numbers on her monitors told me that this experience was all that and a bag of chips for her; the look and smile on my face did the same for me. Next in line was daddy also known as poppa bear ? when I tell you this man was skinning and grinning I felt his energy it was vibrant and contagious.”
If you remember, the brave couple shared a video on Uninterrupted January 7th, informing the world about Dakota’s premature birth. The couple thanked everyone for their prayers and concerns, and told of the journey ahead.
