Ziggy Marley and the family were present at The LEGO Batman Movie premiere at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, California, on Saturday. The celebrity father was all smiles while taking pictures with his wife and kids.
The Marleys are a blended family that proudly embraces their cultural backgrounds. “Food really opened my mind about accepting and understanding different cultures,” Ziggy said during an interview with PEOPLE last year.
“My wife is Middle Eastern—she’s from Israel; her parents are from Iran—so when we got married, the food got blended,” Ziggy shared with media. “I introduced her to my favorites, like fish, porridges and different Caribbean seasonings. And her family introduced me to the falafels and rice.”
In addition to sharing cherished recipes, Ziggy and his wife, Orly, exchange ideas heavily rooted in their respective cultures. “Within my culture, there’s a lot of spirituality, philosophies, ideas—love, humility, respecting each other,” Ziggy explained. “From her side, it’s family: There’s a connectivity there, the bonds of family are very important on her side. It’s a good balance of philosophies, ideas from my side and practical living from her side with family.”
Orly and Ziggy Marley have four children – Judah, Gideon, Abraham, and Isaiah – together. Ziggy has seven kids in all.
