With the mission to “…stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, safety, our health, and our families—recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country,” young Hollywood made sure to let everyone know on which side they will stand during the next four years.
In the spirit of democracy, these young women have pledged to fight against police brutality, for human rights, healthcare access, dignity and justice for all Americans, etc. Ellis Ross, Shahidi, Clhloe X Halle, Smith, and Zendaya will no doubt continue to use their professional platforms as a way in which to advocate for the millions of people that support their careers who have no voice and fear that they will be ignored and decimated under the current administration’s cabinet nominees and policy changes.
By the words on Chloe X Halle’s protest sign, “What I Believe in my soul Ain’t what I see with my eyes And we can’t turn our backs this time,” these young actresses have come to stand strong and have no plans of silencing themselves anytime soon.
