Kerry Washington knew that she was having a baby but wasn’t sure of the child’s gender. The Scandal stars tells Ellen DeGeneres about her expectancy of her and husband Nnamdi Asomugha’s son, Caleb.
“I had no idea what I was having,” Washington reveals. “I said I hoped it was human. That turned out to be right. It’s a human boy.”
Little Caleb was born on October 5, 2016, which prompted Kerry Washington to take a break from social drinking. “I haven’t been drinking a lot of wine because I’ve been with child and nursing,” she told media a few weeks ago. “I’m not really into the pump and dump,” Kerry said in reference to the recent trend of new moms drinking small portions of alcohol while nursing.
She may not be into the concept of pumping and dumping but Kerry is excited about birthdays. The actress tells Ellen that she is looking forward to her impending fortieth birthday. “I’m very excited because I feel like, what’s the alternative? You can have a birthday or you could die. So I’m super excited about birthdays,” she shares.
Kerry Washington is the proud mother of two kids. The actress’ oldest child, Isabelle, celebrates her third birthday in April. Kerry and her husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, commemorate four years of marriage this year.
