A day in January and a trip to the mountains? Yes, please! Melanie Fiona recently shared pictures from her and the family’s vacation with Instagram fans.
“Together is Better,” the celebrity mom shared. Cameron, the singer’s son, was excited about the trip as he smiled from ear to ear and looked to the sky while the photo was taken. Melanie’s boyfriend, Jared Cotter, was also exuberant as he snuggled up close to his family.

It was just last year that Melanie and Jared welcomed their son. Cameron was born in Spring after his mom had a pregnancy experience that was much different from what some described.
“My belly was huge,” Melanie told ESSENCE several months after her son’s birth. “My stomach was massive by the end the end of my pregnancy. It was huge, it was a big baby, super tall, and my belly was huge.”

Fiona also experienced significant challenges during the final months of her expectancy. “The final trimester I started experiencing edema, which is water retention,” she explained. “I couldn’t get my shoes on. I couldn’t even wear my favorite maternity things I had bought. My water retention just kept getting worse and worse. It got so bad I could grab my leg and my skin was so tight that it would leave an indent like a Posturepedic pillow. It was crazy.”
Cameron Lincoln Cotter was born on March 14, 2016. He is Melanie Fiona and Jared Cotter’s only child.
