Caleb McLaughlin, starring as Lucas Sinclair in the Netflix science fiction hit drama Stranger Things, is back at it with his cast and crew as they begin filming season two of the Golden Globe nominated show.
McLaughlin, born October 13, 2001, is a native New Yorker whose career began on Broadway as the Young Simba in the musical The Lion King. Studying dance at The Harlem School of the Arts, (HSA), under Aubrey Lynch, former Lion King Producer and Director of Dance at HSA, McLaughlin began to fine-tune his acting skills. From there, he went on to guest star in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2013), Unforgettable, and Forever, both in 2014. Earlier this year, he landed a recurring role as Jay-Jay on the series Shades of Blue in addition to appearing on Blue Bloods.
So what does 2017 hold for this talented 15 year-old? In addition to the July 17th premiere of Stranger Things, Bell just finished production on a 3-part television mini-series, The New Edition Story, where he will play the role of a young Ricky Bell.
