Forest Whitaker and his daughter, True, were two of only a few invited to an exclusive screening of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in London, England on Tuesday. The father and daughter took the red carpet by storm at the BFI IMAX theater as they posed for several pictures before heading into the venue to watch the film.
True’s gown was especially notable as it was designed with velvet fabric and looked quite comfortable. True struck a pose on the red carpet that showed off the dress’ thigh-high split. Forest was all smiles while standing beside his teen.
Whitaker’s role in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is much different from other characters he’s portrayed. The veteran actor tells media that his outfits onset helped him get into the part of Anakin Skywalker, the rebel.
“The armor is integral to my character,” Forest shares. “The costume really helped me play him. You get into what it’s like to be Saw. There was a regality to it, like a fallen king. I was trying to play it straight inside the character. I get slightly nervous, but having these lines in this uniform, Saw starts to come alive.”
Fans will get to see Forest and other beloved actors when the highly anticipated Rogue One: A Star Wars Story makes its public debut on Friday, December 16, 2016. Forest Whitaker has four kids.
