Kim Kardashian is becoming an expert at braiding her daughter North’s hair because of her good friend Kim Kimble. The celebrity hairstylist gave Kim a special training session on intertwining curly hair during a recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Kimble’s tutorial, which cost upwards of $2,500, was hands-on as she demonstrated on a model and let Kim show what she learned. “To be honest, she does a wonderful job with her daughter’s hair,” Kim Kimble told BET after the segment. “I think she picked up pretty well on it. I’m pretty sure she has some experience with braiding so it’s just a matter of perfecting what she already kind of knew. And I definitely saw the progression.”
Many wondered how Kimble scored a spot on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “I’ve worked with some of [Kardashian’s] hairstylists in the past and shared my products with them,” Kimble told media. “I had actually worked with her one time so she reached out and asked if I could give her some pointers on braiding North West’s hair. And I said, ‘Sure.'”
North has rocked the cutest styles since birth. In fact, the toddler was spotted in a silver sequenced dress that was identical to mom’s dress two months ago. Kim told fans that she and husband Kanye West customize all of their daughter’s clothes and a few fans didn’t like the sound of that. One troll went so far as to tell Kim that her obsession with North’s wardrobe “are the kind of things why people hate you.” The celebrity mom definitely fired back with a few comments of her own.
“Bc she has a passion 4 fashion & we’ve given her the tools 2 explore that,” Kim asked. “Maybe spend less time hating others and loving yourself,” the celebrity mom added. “Life is good. Be happy & blessed, in all sincerity.”
North is Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s oldest child. She celebrated her third birthday in June. Kim and Kanye also have a son named Saint who celebrates his first birthday next week.
