Just a few weeks after telling Instagram fans that she is comfortable in her own skin, Cori Broadus is encouraging other girls to embrace the beauty within. The young star shares her message of empowerment with talk show host T.D. Jakes.
“I would just say love yourself no matter what,” Cori says. “Who cares what people have to say? You’re beautiful, no matter what,” she adds.
Cori recently told Instagram fans that she attained a level of self-esteem that has allowed her to be comfortable with herself. “I can finally say I’m comfortable in my own skin,” the 17-year-old wrote. “[I] grew up despising the skin tone I was in because it’s been bashed on for so long and society has been putting in our heads that dark is ugly. For all you beautiful chocolate girls/ women out there you’re BEAUTIFUL and don’t let anyone tell you different.”
Cori is the only daughter of Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus. The celebrity couple also has two sons named Corde and Cordell.
