Model and daughter of producer Jimmy Jam and Lisa Harris, Bella B. Harris was scouted and signed when she was 13-years-old. At 5’10” tall, skipping the teen division, Harris headed straight to the runway, representing women’s high-fashion. Noted for her rise to fame as she graced the pages of Teen Vogue, Popular Magazine, No Tofu Magazine and appearing at the 2016 Grammy Awards, this 16-year-old up-and-coming fashion sensation sat down with Missguided, after a stunning photoshoot collaboration between the magazine and Galore to give fans a peek inside her star-studded world.
“My father Jimmy Jam is a successful record producer, he was also the Chairman of the Grammys so I have been exposed to some pretty amazing things and met some of the greatest people in music,” Harris tells Missguided in the interview.
She goes on to tell the magazine that she is a “pretty regular 16-year-old” despite her jet-set lifestyle, placing education first as she and her twin brother are juniors in high school. And just like every young person, Harris has dreams and goals for her future. “I have so many hopes and dreams for the future. You don’t have to label or define yourself by just one thing. I hope to be successful at modeling and really nail all aspects of the modeling business but I really want to do so much more. I have dreams of becoming an entrepreneur and I love fashion and the fashion industry. I hope to collaborate on a clothing line and maybe do a capsule collection or two, one day turning it into my own complete line. I also have a love for interior design and I love envisioning and creating spaces.”
So, with all of her drive and vision, of course this young starlet has to have a girl power motto. What is it, you ask? “Girl power starts with believing in yourself.”
