Spider-man: Homecoming is quickly becoming a reality for Marvel fans and Tom Holland and Zendaya land the cover shot of The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen Issue, due out on stands November 18th, to talk about the project.
As we all know, earlier in the year, there was much controversy surrounding Zendaya being cast as Mary Jane in the upcoming film. Here’s what the young 20-year-old Disney actress had to say about playing the role. “People are going to react over anything…But of course there’s going to be outrage over that because for some reason some people just aren’t ready. I’m like, ‘I don’t know what America you live in, but from what I see when I walk outside my streets of New York right now, I see lots of diversity and I see the real world and it’s beautiful, and that’s what should be reflected and that’s what is reflected so you’re going to just have to get over it.’”
Spider-man: Homecoming will follow the events of Captain America: Civil War as Peter Parker tries to balance his life between fighting crime as his superhero alter ego and being an ordinary high school student in Queens, NY.
