BRAD PITT CLEARED IN CHILD ABUSE INVESTIGATION

Nothing to see here, folks. Brad Pitt was recently cleared of all alleged wrongdoings in what was an ongoing investigation by the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS).

The actor was accused of verbally and physically abusing his son, Maddox, on the family’s private plane. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) even got in on the action by interviewing Angelina Jolie and the kids.

Allegations and investigations came on the heels of Angelina Jolie filing for marriage dissolution from Brad Pitt. Jolie’s representative told media that the actress went the route of divorce for the safety of the kids.

“Angelina said from the beginning that she felt she had to take action for the health of the family,” the spokesperson said. Jolie’s representative also told the press that the celebrity mom was “relieved that after their 8-week involvement, the DCFS is now satisfied the safeguards are put in place that will allow the children to heal.”

Brad Pitt also seems relieved by recent custody and investigation outcomes. The star made his first red carpet appearance on Wednesday since word of his impending divorce spread nearly two months ago. “It’s really sweet, everyone has been really kind out here,” he told media at the Los Angeles premiere of his film Allied. “It’s really nice to have all the support,” Pitt added.

Support is definitely what the Jolie-Pitt clan needs right now. Brad’s close family friends told media that the actor was blindsided by Angelina’s divorce decision and found out on the day of her filing for marriage dissolution. While he did not comment on whether or not the news took him by surprise, Brad did tell the press that he was focusing on the family during an interview about his film Voyage of Time and decision to refrain from attending the movie’s screening in September.

“[Filmmaker] Terrence [Malick]’s Voyage of Time is an incredibly beautiful and unique experimental IMAX film for children and families chronicling the birth of time,” Pitt said of the film. “I’m very grateful to be part of such a fascinating and educational project, but I’m currently focused on my family situation and don’t want to distract attention away from this extraordinary film, which I encourage everyone to see.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie recently came to a consensus about custody of the kids. The former couple decided that it was in the best interest of the children that they remain in the primary care of Jolie. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie parent six kids together.
