“Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!” Tamera Mowry and Adam Housley threw their son, Aden, and pre-birthday celebration that centered around the beloved Ghostbusters brand earlier this week.
“Aden is obsessed with Halloween,” Tamera told PEOPLE on Monday. “His birthday is actually on November 12th, but I wanted to take advantage of having a Halloween costume party. It was adorable,” she added.
The adult members of the family went all out with their costumes. Tamera and Adam wore the signature Ghostbusters suits while Aden and his little sister, Ariah, went for other styles. “Of course he’s obsessed with Halloween costumes 364 days of the year, but on this day he refused to wear one,” Tamera said of her son’s choice to rock casual wear instead of a special outfit. Still, “his giggles of happiness made my day.”
Tia, Cree, and Tahj joined Aden in celebrating his impending birthday. Cree took in the sights of Del Rey Church’s outdoors while engaging in several activities. A magician and face painting were two of many forms of entertainment that Tamera and Adam offered guests.
Aden will celebrate his fourth birthday next Saturday. The little one made Tamera and Adam two of the most happiest people in Hollywood when he was born.
“It has been wow, that’s the first word I can think of, and such a blessing,” Tamera told ESSENCE after celebrating her son’s first birthday in 2014.
“I’m so grateful to have be chosen to be a mom,” she added. “Children are from God and are a passage through you. I have had some of the most blissful days as well as some challenging in my life. But as a result, it has molded me into the person I am today. As I teach my son, he teaches me. You learn so much about yourself when you become a mom.”
Tamera and Adam Housley welcomed their daughter, Ariah, last year. The little one celebrated her first birthday in July.
