Draymond Green and longtime girlfriend Jelissa Hardy are expanding their family. The couple celebrated the impending birth of their little one this past weekend.
The event was held at the Claremont Club & Spa in Fairmont Hotel in Berkeley, California. Family and friends put together a stellar celebration with stuffed animals and antique chairs as decorations.
There was an abundance of sweet treats at the bash. Chocolate covered fruit surrounded the gold and white tiered cake that had images of animals carved into its base.
Draymond Green has much to celebrate as the baby shower for his and Jelissa’s little one came days before his and the Golden State Warriors’ win over the Phoenix Suns. The NBA star’s defense was a force with which to be reckoned as Green blocked every chance for the Suns to recover from the four-point lead that the Warriors had over them.
“He was amazing,” Kevin Durant said of his teammate’s skills. “Player of the game,” he added.
It was just a few days ago that Draymond accused other NBA teams of trying to intimidate the Warriors. “Teams are trying to punk us, [but] it’s fine,” he told ESPN. “We’re not going to get punked.” Green certainly proved his statement true as the Warriors triumphed over the Suns with a final score of 100-106.
Draymond Green and Jelissa Hardy are expecting their first child to arrive in coming weeks. The little one will join Jelissa’s daughter at home. The Golden State Warriors will battle it out on the court against the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at 7 PM (PST).
