Tommy Ford, best known for playing Tommy on the ’90s sitcom “Martin”, has passed away due to complications from surgery. Ford had been hospitalized in an Atlanta hospital since Sunday. In the weeks prior, he had undergone a knee replacement surgery.
Earlier this morning, it was reported that he was on life support after suffering an aneurysm in his abdomen. He later died at 4:50 PM, according to his publicist. A message on his official Instagram page reads:
To all family and friends of Tommy Ford. We would like to inform everyone that our brother passed away today October 12, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Please keep his family in your prayers as they go through this challenging time. He was so dearly loved by so many and for that lets all be grateful for a life well served.
Tommy starred in all 5 seasons of “Martin” and also appeared on “New York Undercover,” “The Jamie Foxx Show”, and “The Parkers.”
He leaves behind two kids, TJ and Madi.
