Naija.com claims that Ila has expressed her desire to transition to a man before. Ila, according to the news source, declared Tuesday, October 4, 2016, as the official start of her new life as a male. “Today is the first day of the rest of my life… 04/10/16,” she shared with social media fans.
Gender dysphoria is a medical condition in which individuals believe that their assigned genders are not their true identity. The distress has nothing to do with homosexuality and causes depression among many teens and young adults struggling in silence.
Ila seems to be getting a lot of support from fans as one Instagram follower wrote, “Best wishes … Her life, her choice.” The young adult is the only daughter that Sade Adu has with Jamaican-American producer Bob Morgan.
