NFL star Martellus Bennett has written a children’s book that is based on his daughter Jett’s incredible personality. Hey A.J., It’s Saturday is a fun story filled with imagery and fantasy.
A.J. is a vibrant girl who loves food and taming animals. In the story, she discovers a whole new world of imagination that is right in her kitchen. The eggs take on a life of their own and pancakes are intellectuals. A.J. enjoys a good swim and great conversation all while making breakfast on a Saturday morning.
Martellus’ inventiveness is definitely evident in the narrative. “Everyone is creative, but we are only as creative as we allow ourselves to be,” Bennett shares. “Football is not something I can hand over to my kids,” he adds. “There will be another tight end that comes in and breaks whatever records I set. Creativity is something that is forever.”
Hey A.J., It’s Saturday is certainly something that Bennett will pass on to his daughter. The NFL star has already read the book to Jett and it’s safe to say that she loved every portion of the narrative. Martellus has also taken his little one to football practices where he let her wear his helmet and take a ride on some of the gear.
