Los Angeles (Calif.) Windward School basketball star Shareef O’Neal, the son of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, is one of the top recruits in the 2018 class. The 6’8 power forward recently revealed that he likes three schools: Kentucky, Michigan State, and Duke.
While there’s a bit of time before Shareef has to make his college choice, his dad has a preference.
“My dad actually wants me to lean towards Kentucky,” the teenager told Sean Scherer of 247Sports.
“He has a good friendship with the coach there. I know a lot about that school because a lot of kids dream about going there. I like their style of play.”
O’Neal is currently ranked 25th overall in the 2018 class. He already has early offers from Arizona, Baylor, California Kansas State, LSU, UCLA and USC.
