When you have a hit-making father, anything is possible. John Legend reveals that he has written a number of lullabies just for his daughter, Luna.
“I have some new stuff from the next album that I sing to her,” Legend tells ET Online.
John and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, have been in New York promoting his broadway production, Turn Me Loose. The play is a mix of comedy and drama as it explores the life of Dick Gregory. The comedian was the first African American entertainer to shed light on racial disparities in front of a white audience. Gregory addressed bigotry with humor that placed everyone at ease. Such technique of disarming comedy is now used in major films and television series.
John is excited to celebrate his production and return to New York. “It’s great,” he exclaims. We’re excited to be back in New York. “We lived in New York for a long time and we’re in L.A. more now, but we miss New York and we’re glad to come back,” Legend adds. “And we’re glad to bring Luna here for the first time. It’s been a great week.”
Luna is John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s only child. She was born on April 14, 2016. Learn more about Turn Me Loose here. Check out a bonus picture of Luna with her grandmother below!
