Kobe Bryant is the only player to stay with the same team throughout his career. The star athlete was drafted right out of high school by the Los Angeles Lakers and has remained with the team ever since.
During his twenty year stint as a basketball player, Kobe has seen three consecutive championships, five in all, and played for the United States during the Olympic Games. He went out in style during his final game on Wednesday night by scoring sixty points that led to the Lakers defeating the Jazz with a final score of 101-96.
“I go through 20 years of everybody yelling, ‘Pass the ball,'” Kobe said after the game concluded. “And then on the last night they’re like, ‘Don’t pass it.'” Kobe’s teammates stepped aside to let the NBA star attempt a career-high of 50 shots in one game. Of course, Bryant surpassed his goal.
Kobe Bryant was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in 1996. He wed Vanessa in 2001. The Bryants have two kids, Natalia and Gianna, together.
