Heavenly Joy Jerkins has some great shoes to fill with her dad, Rodney Jerkins, dubbing her as the next Michael Jackson. The music producer tells ET Online that his daughter has the ability to be just as famous as the late King of Pop.
“She literally wakes up in the morning and has her outfits picked out, already on,” Rodney shares with media. “I’m talking about 8 o’clock in the morning. She’ll walk into the bedroom, everyone has pajamas on and she’s fully ready to go.” It is this drive, coupled with raw talent, that makes Rodney and the rest of the family believe that Heavenly has a great future in the industry.
“I think she’s the new Michael Jackson,” Jerkins tells the press. “People will sometimes compare her to say, ‘Oh, this is like Shirley Temple all over again.’ I think it is a little bit of that, but I think it’s more of Michael. Not just because I worked with Michael, but just even studying how he began so young and how he was able to evolve into the superstar he became — it’s a lot of little things that she does that she doesn’t even know she does that I’m able to see, and it’s Michael-ish. It’s interesting.”
