Beyonce, Jay-Z, and Blue Ivy were on hand for Obama’s last Easter Egg Roll on Monday morning.

More than 35,000 people attended the annual Easter Egg Roll at the White House. Thousands of children along with their parents joined President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the event for games, stories, the long-running egg roll, cooking demonstrations and a fun run. Around 250 children joined Mrs. Obama for her fun run, which is part of Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” initiative. This is the first year for the fun run.

“Today is a little bit bittersweet for us because this is the Obama administration’s last Easter Egg Roll,” the first lady said during remarks kicking off the festivities. “If we think about what we’ve accomplished over these past seven years, it’s pretty incredible.”

agree with everything you said. my sentiments exactly. I hate to see them go. I wish I could have attended an Easter Egg Roll event under Obama’s presidency, but at least I’ve been to the White House while under his administration. it really is a cool place to visit.

It is truly wonderful how many everyday people, children, people of colour have been able to attend an affair at the White House. It is known as the “People’s House” but no other president has put that practice in action like President and Mrs. Obama. I feel certain it will be a very long time, if ever again, that so many people will be able to feel the warmth that have been shown them by this administration.. I really hate to see them go.
