Sasha and Malia Obama are making the most of their trip to Cuba. The first daughters have already joined their parents on several outings and are setting a new fashion precedent in sartorial style.
The girls stood behind their mom, Michelle Obama, as she made a speech during a ceremony at a local library on Tuesday. Malia wore a red dress that had floral cutout designs while Sasha rocked a mixed print vertical-striped top by Shoshanna with a burlap skirt designed by Tory Burch. Both of the girls wore sneakers with their designer wear that added a sense of casualness to their style. Sasha and Malia later joined their father at a baseball game.
The Internet went ablaze on Sunday after the Obamas touched down in Cuba. Many praised President Obama for being the first sitting commander in chief to visit the country in more than 80 years. Other fans admired Sasha and Malia’s style, which was every bit fashionable and economical. Malia’s floral ASOS frock was valued at $48, which made it an outfit that many could afford. Sasha’s dress was also recognized as stylish with its simple designs that placed emphasis on her curves.
Sasha and Malia will soon finish out their sophomore and senior years in high school. Malia is set to attend college in the fall. See more pictures from the girls’ appearance on Tuesday below!
