How is Tyra Banks adjusting to motherhood?
“Some mornings you wake up, and you’re like, ‘Where am I,'” she reveals to media. “I don’t know what’s going on. And I know it’s not a good idea for me to drive [during those times] because I did not sleep. So I balance that and his (York) dad helps, and we go back and forth so that’s good.” The television personality also tells fans that her boyfriend, Erik Asla, “does about 40 percent diaper duty at night. So we’re almost 50/50” in sharing responsibilities.
Motherhood is teaching Tyra a number of things such as sharing work tasks with other people on her team. “I’m on maternity leave right now, just taking a break,” she says. “I really now am empowering my team. I’m understanding delegation, understanding that I don’t have to do everything to make something successful.”
York is Tyra and Erik’s first child together. He was born by way of surrogate in January.
