Leah Still has officially beat cancer. The daughter of Devon Still recently shared a picture of her receiving the final treatment for stage four cancer. “LAST TREATMENT!! Let’s goooo,” tweeted Devon.
Leah was diagnosed with cancer in 2014. Devon took a break from playing ball for the Cincinnati Bengals to care for his daughter and was allowed to return to the team when her condition improved.
Although there have been a number of challenges in Leah’s road to recovery, the little one has remained strong and battled illness with a smile. Miss Still has become such an inspiration that she was the recipient of the Jimmy V. Perseverance Award at last year’s ESPY ceremony.
“We had two options,” Devon said during the awards show. “We could have lost faith and just let this battle with cancer get the best of us, or I could give my daughter’s battle with cancer a purpose, and use my platform to try to raise as much awareness as possible.”
Leah is Devon’s only child. She will celebrate her sixth birthday this year.
