Monica may have spent countless hours in the studio to make her current album a success but her daughter, Laiyah, is the showstopper. The ‘Code Red’ singer recently shared pictures from her album signing in Columbus, Georgia where fans were waiting in great anticipation to see Laiyah.
“The look you give when you know everyone really came to see you and not your Momma,” Monica captioned underneath a picture of Laiyah looking square into the camera’s lens. She went on to tell Instagram fans that “people ask for Laiyah like her album just dropped. When she took her nap today during the signing everyone was SO disappointed. I’m the elf and she’s Santa. U know how you feel when Santa takes lunch at the mall … Yeah that was the level of disappointment when she was sleep.”
Laiyah certainly didn’t disappoint her fan base while awake. The little one took several pictures and interacted with a baby who was arguably Monica’s youngest supporter.
“This adorable baby and her parents came to the CD signing,” said Monica. Laiyah also did an impromptu promotional video for her mom. “This was my right hand today,” exclaimed Monica. “I was about to tape myself and she said I will do it.”
