Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is focused on fatherhood. The rapper recently shared a throwback picture of him with his 19-year-old son, Marquise, with a caption that addressed his reasoning for letting his son find his own path in life.
“This kid is gonna hate his mother when he realize what she did to him. He has to make it on his own like I did. SMH GOOD LUCK,” shared the star.
Curtis has been quiet about his eldest son after a series of public arguments that preceded Marquise’s high school graduation ceremony last year that 50 Cent did not attend. “His mother’s views, he’s embraced it,” the artist told media at one point.
Jackson even alluded to the idea of his son’s mother, Shaniqua Tompkins, using Marquise for her own financial gain earlier this week. “I have mailed them over a million dollars,” the star said. “He’s big now only 18 months left of support to live off. Then reality sets in, this is real life now. She don’t know what to do. I pray she figure it out he’s grown now.”
Of course, Shaniqua responded with a rebuttal of her own. “You don’t have a relationship with my child because you choose not to, you want to bully him, threaten him, and talk about his mother in a disparaging manner,” she said. “I don’t try to mentally abuse my son like you do! I don’t talk about you your actions speak for themselves.”
In letting his actions “speak for themselves” Curtis is spoiling his youngest son, Sire. The rapper uploaded a picture of him and the toddler a few days ago and shared part of his Christmas shopping list with Instagram fans. “[Sire] told me he know I can call Santa, and get him some cars,” said the star.
Sire is 50 Cent’s son with model Daphne Joy. The recording artist has two kids in all.
