Turkey pardoned. President Obama and his daughters, Sasha and Malia, gave one turkey the opportunity to live in peace this Thanksgiving during the White House’s traditional Turkey Pardoning ceremony. The commander in chief cracked a few jokes that even his daughters laughed at and made the pardoning sign that protected this year’s lucky turkey from harm.
President Obama also assured the American people that the government is doing everything within its power to ensure safety this holiday season. “Right now, we know of no specific and credible intelligence indicating a plot on the homeland,” the president shared during a press conference on Wednesday. He further explained that “in the event of a specific, credible threat, the public will be informed.”
