Comedian Dave Chappelle, wife Elaine and daughter Sonal posed on the red carpet before heading into the 18th Annual Mark Twain Prize For Humor event honoring Eddie Murphy. The event was held at The John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts on October 18, 2015 in Washington, DC.
Chappelle was among a star-studded lineup of comedians to honor Eddie Murphy at Sunday’s ceremony. Chris Rock, George Lopez, Kathy Griffin, and more were there to witness Eddie Murphy receive the Mark Twain Prize, the nation’s top prize for humour.
The evening’s most emotional tribute came from “Saturday Night Live” alum Tracy Morgan, who gave a speech and called Murphy his “comedic hero.”
“He’s the reason I’m in comedy. He’s the reason I have a job. He’s the reason I have a career,” Morgan said.
Chapelle and Elaine have three kids together.
