Chanita Foster was honored last night at the 2015 Rice Awards in Atlanta. Foster, who was joined by four of her children, was given the Humanitarian Award for her work as the founder of non-profit organization Beyond The Game.
The celeb mom took to Instagram yesterday to thank her family for all of their support. “I am so THANKFUL… I sacrifice so much and often at the cost of these faces!” she wrote as a caption to the above photo.
She continued, “When we don’t receive a single donation for @beyondthegameorg it comes out of MY HOUSE! I often have to tell them NO… Last night was beautiful not because of the award but because TeamFoster got to get dressed up, smile, spend time with me, and HEAR me SAY out loud to a room full of people that THEY are loved, I am thankful for their sacrifice, and we are a TEAM! I’m so FULL!!!!”
Beyond The Game was founded by Chanita in 2009 after the star took a vision trip to Swaziland where she witnessed the deplorable conditions that some children are subjected to in the country. To date, the organization has helped thousands of kids by not only feeding them, but also providing education and entrepreneurship skills.
