Simone Johnson was there to watch history unfold as her father, Dwayne Johnson, was immortalized with a hand and footprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX on May 19, 2015 in Hollywood, California.
“Arm raised high,” shared Dwayne, a.k.a. The Rock, along with a picture of him with his feet in cement. “Since its opening day of May 18th, 1927, the world famous and iconic TCL Chinese Theater has immortalized only just under 300 Hollywood men and women.” Johnson expressed gratitude to his family for helping him be among the few. “I’ll never forget this day for the rest of my life … and it was all possible because of you.”
Dwayne has certainly come a long way in the industry from his days as a wrestler on WWF’s ‘Smackdown.’ The star has established himself as a notable actor, with his most recent film being San Andreas.
Although he is a celebrity in his own right, Johnson tells media that he still manages to embarrass his daughter. “She quietly thinks I’m cool, but I just have this tendency to embarrass the s*** out of her at any time,” says the actor. “I’m that dad who’ll all of a sudden breaks out in song. I’m that dad who, when I drop her off at school, she’s trying to be quiet and I’m like, ‘Bye baby, see you.’ [And] everybody’s like ‘That’s The Rock.'”
Simone is Dwayne Johnson’s only child.
