Shareef O’Neal can count on the University of Southern California (USC) to accept him into their academic program in coming years. The high school freshman has already received an offer from the prestigious university because of his ability to play basketball well.
“I am blessed [to] receive an offer from the University of Southern California #USC,” tweeted the teen earlier this week. The University of Southern California has been the first school to offer Shareef a sports scholarship, and the teen has many more opportunities to look forward to if he continues to play ball well.
Many media sources and recruiters began to take notice of Shareef’s incredible skill a few months back when footage of the youngster playing was released by MaxPreps. The high school freshman, along with his team, later took home the 2015 CIF Championship, which only added to Shareef’s fame.
While some say that Shareef will be as good as his father in coming years, the masses believe that the teen will be a better ballplayer than his dad because of his incredible versatility. Shareef is NBA star Shaquille O’Neal’s son with ex-wife Shaunie O’Neal. Watch the teen dominate the court below!
